What We Offer

We know that there are many different reasons why you might choose to take a yoga class. We offer a variety of classes so that you can find the class that you want. As well, we keep our class sizes small, so that you can be certain to receive personal attention from our teachers.

We invite you to consider what it is that you want to get out of your yoga class. Do you want to become stronger and more flexible? Do you want to learn to deal with stress better? Learn more about yourself? Or even just have fun?

Once you know what you are looking for, see our class descriptions below and then check our class schedule to choose your class!

All our classes are suitable for beginners but should offer something to even a more experienced practitioner.

  • Maintain vibrant health.
  • Decrease stress and tension.
  • Increase your energy level.

What is Hatha Yoga?

Most yoga classes taught in North America fall into the category of Hatha Yoga. Hatha is the union of opposites; literally, "Sun-Moon" ("Ha"="Sun" and "Tha"="Moon"). In Hatha Yoga, postures and breath exercises are used to balance strength with receptivity and power with peace.

What is Kripalu Yoga?

Kripalu Yoga developed from the teachings of Swami Kripalu and is carried on today all over the world, but especially by the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Massachusetts. Kripalu Yoga combines Hatha Yoga with other forms of Yoga, including Karma Yoga, the yoga of service, Jnana Yoga, the yoga of wisdom, and Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of the heart.

What is Power Yoga?

Power Yoga usually refers to Vinyasa-style (flowing) Hatha Yoga. Power Yoga is a vigorous and flowing practice of postures and breath.

What is Meditation?

There are many forms of meditation. Generally, meditation is an exercise to relax the body and mind, develop mindfulness, find stillness, and cultivate healthy thought patterns.
